Celebrities on steroids make the headlines every other year or so.
What celebrities are on record for this bad behavior, and how bad was the media scandal?
First of all, let’s make sure we’re talking about the right type of steroid: anabolic steroids, not corticosteroids, are the muscle-building drugs that get abused by athletes, actors and other celebs.
When you hear about someone taking them medically, that’s usually a corticosteroid, which reduces an overactive immune response and swelling. They can also be prescribed medically … But not for an athlete to help build muscle.
When they are prescribed, it’s for muscle WASTING, such as in patients with AIDS, or for delayed puberty in males, or for loss of testicular function. Buy legal steroids online here.

Anabolic steroids that get famous celebrity professional athletes in trouble are synthetic versions of testosterone.
Testosterone is a “male” hormone (which both men and women produce naturally in respective amounts).
Hormones are the body’s regulators, keeping the most basic functions in check, so throwing one’s testosterone balance out of whack to an extremely unnatural level has consequences.
Side effects in men can include breast development, painful erections, testicular shrinkage, decreased sperm count, infertility, and impotence.
In women, abuse can cause excessive growth of facial and bodily hair, a deepened voice, menstrual irregularities, an enlarged clitoris, reduced breast size, and a masculinized female fetus (if pregnant.)
Both genders can suffer from side effects ranging from acne, baldness, and jaundice to developing a high risk of liver disease and cancer, and an enlarged heart.
If they are abused in one’s teen years, they can affect growth and development.
Another celebrities on steroids rumor is Dr Dre.
How big is Dr Dre? He used to be fairly chunky, but suddenly became very fit – and bulked up.
Fans who are convinced Dre is on ‘roids have gone so far as to claim they know what steroids cycle he uses, although no public confirmation of Dre abusing them has ever been made.
Probably one of the most disappointing celebrity steroid scandals was the 2013.
The discovery that Lance Armstrong, who had won the Tour de France a record seven times, had been using performance enhancing drugs every time.
Armstrong, who had struggled with testicular cancer and still won the Tour de France as well as an Olympic bronze medal, had been regarded as some kind of god until his secret was discovered.
All his accolades, including the Olympic medal, were stripped after the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency released over 1,000 pages of evidence against Armstrong and his team.
Armstrong admitted to Oprah on national TV to using testosterone, human growth hormone, and other illegal performance-enhancing drugs.
So which celebrities have taken steroids and been in the limelight for their indiscretions? Funny man Carrot Top was accused of taking them due to his muscle tone.
But he says he just worked out a lot at the time, three hours daily, and took tons of legal supplements – up to 200 supplement pills a day – and ate a ridiculous amount of protein.
However, he says that at any point back then, he could have been urine tested, and there wouldn’t have been any trace of the drugs in the cup.
He stopped his routine when he realized he was having issues with water retention, and looked like he was on the drugs (which he was accused of regularly).
Carrot Top said people were focusing on his body over his work in comedy. He says he now works out only with 20 lb dumbbells, eats normally, and doesn’t take supplements any more. He’s at a very modest 140 lbs.
Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez, or A-Rod, denied repeatedly over a 21-month period that he was not using steroids.
However, under oath in front of the Drug Enforcement Agency in 2014, he admitted to spending $12,000 a month on the illegal use of anabolic steroids supplied by an anti-aging clinic.
Rodriguez used testosterone cream, testosterone-laced lozenges or “gummies,” and human growth hormone injections. A-Rod previously admitted to abusing the drugs back in 2001-2003 as a member of the Texas Rangers.
The pressure of constant media attention must take its toll on celebrities, especially when athletes become famous for succeeding and feel the pressure to keep on winning.
However, the track record of what happens to celebrities on steroids before and after should prevent anyone from indulging in the future, especially with those side effects mentioned.
Side effects of abusing the drugs are clearly nothing to cough at! However, history repeats itself, as we all know. Hopefully we continue to discover those who have lied about anabolic steroid abuse, and we stop bothering those celebs who have never touched the stuff.Celebrities on SteroidsHollywood Steroids Use50 CentArnold SchwarzeneggerBolo YeungBrad PittBruce LeeCarrot Top SteroidsCharlie SheenChris EvansChristian BaleDwayne JohnsonHugh JackmanHulk HoganJean Claude Van DammeMark WahlbergMichael Clarke DuncanMickey RourkeRyan ReynoldsSean PennSpencer MatthewsSylvester Stallone Busted for HGHSylvester StalloneTerry CrewsTom HardyZac Efron
