There is a lot of speculation out there as to whether or not Jean Claude Van Damme did steroids at any point during his career.
You may know Jean Claude Van Damme from his success in martial arts films.
The Belgian actor is a professional martial artist aside from being an actor, producer and screen writer.
He certainly has muscles and strength that most people can only dream of having.
But that’s not enough evidence or fair to him. Lets take a closer look at the actual evidence. Buy legal steroids online here.

Jean-Claude Van Damme Steroids
A lot of people began speculating as to whether or not Van Damme did steroids.
Were his seemingly superhero physique and brute strength a result of his hard-to-the-bone workout style and diet?
Or perhaps as a result of steroid use?
Jean Claude Van Damme was a body and fitness icon for so many men during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
He was a competitive body builder in Belgium before he started his film career in the 1980s.
In this time he was no stranger to the front of magazine covers for the decades that he dominated the big screen with his martial arts and action films.
Is He Natural?
But whether or not he did steroids to help him achieve that level of fame is still something up for discussion.
While Jean Claude Van Damme has been open in discussing other drug use that he struggled with during the height of his career, he has not been so outright in discussing his steroid use.
He’s mostly just spoken about the cocaine use that nearly ended his career and required him to go to rehab.
Sources close to Van Damme have confirmed that he did at one time use steroids, but there are still some who claim that there is evidence to the contrary.
Evidence For Steroid Use
There is a large camp of criticizers and fans alike who say that Jean Claude Van Damme apparently did steroids to help optimize his workout potential during the height of his career.
And then used them again to help him recover strength following the time he spent in rehabilitation for cocaine abuse.
The reason that many people believe this is, is because of the results that he was able to achieve, even after going through drug rehab.
For example, at the age of 19, Van Damme was able to lift 365 lbs.
That is an impressive feat, and a lot of people question whether or not it would have been possible to achieve that naturally.
Evidence Against Steroid Use
Yet, there is evidence to the contrary, as well.
For example, look at images of Jean Claude Van Damme in his more recent years, such as surrounding the 2012 film The Expendables.
You will find that while his frame is slightly smaller as can be expected with age, there is no real visual evidence of muscle shrinkage.
He looks very much the same today as he did during his prime, just a bit older. You can compare this to the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was a known steroid user and who can be seen to have experienced a lot of muscle shrinkage as he aged.
Another piece of evidence that people cite when saying that Van Damme did not use steroids is the fact that he didn’t gain muscle mass quickly. In fact, as long as Van Damme has been in the spotlight he has been about the same size.
You can see old pictures of Van Damme from when he was fresh out of high school, a competitive muscle-building teenager, and his bulk was very similar to what he was showing off when he filmed Kickboxer over a decade later.
Which Steroids Did He Use
We don’t know for sure whether he used steroids or not, but if he did, he likely would have taken a form of testosterone during his cycle.
During bulking cycles, he may have used Dianabol or Anadrol.
For cutting cycles, he may have used Winstrol or Trenbolone.
Van Damme’s Workout
There being no hard evidence that Van Damme did do steroids, the question remains as to how he could have achieved such bulk naturally? The answer, according to Van Damme, is through a lot of stamina and cardio workouts.
It is well known that Jean Claude Van Damme could lift (365 pounds at 19, remember?) but recall that he is known for his martial arts. Those kicks don’t come with lifting. That is all cardio.
The combination of pushing your body to the max with strong weight-building routines coupled with intense cardio sessions is what allowed him to achieve such a lean body mass and impressive muscular frame.
There’s no real evidence in the public domain that Jean Claude Van Damme used steroids.
