Rumors surrounding actor Zac Efron and potential steroid use began to surface around the release of 2017's Baywatch.
Observers took to the internet to debate how the actor obtained the body he displayed in the film.
There are various arguments for and against this assumption, though very little hard evidence exists either way.
Zac Efron is an American actor who first gained fame for his role in Disney’s High School Musical.
Since then, he’s gone on to star in popular films such as Hairspray and Neighbors.
After being a rather slim teen and young adult, Efron’s sudden change in physique in a relatively short amount of time raised suspicions. Buy legal steroids online here.

According to Efron’s own social media and interviews, his Baywatch body was obtained through a special diet and exercise regimen over the course of several months.
It mentions nothing of steroids.
Commentators who believe that his build is all natural point out several additional factors that support this claim.
Firstly, Zac Efron is a fairly wealthy celebrity, with a net worth over $18 million in 2015.
Having enough money means he could hire a personal trainer, nutritionist, and other private staff to make sure he received top training and monitoring 24/7.
Next, by comparison to his muscle mass and sculpting in the 2014 film Neighbors, the basic “structure” of his Baywatch physique can be seen.
With proper dedication, it’s not implausible for him to have gained the mass prior to filming in the months between the two movies.
Likewise, Efron could have filmed the majority of his “showcasing” shots at peak performance, thus not having to maintain the ideal sculptured look for very long.
As of May 2017, there is no direct evidence that Zac Efron used steroids. Still, observers familiar with the signs of steroid use these notes, along with the actor’s personal history, to make their case.
While Zac Efron has little history of legal troubles, save for a fight with a homeless man in 2014, he did struggle with a substance abuse problem for which he sought treatment in 2013. He has maintained his claims to sobriety since.
However, there is the possibility that past addiction could make one more susceptible to using performance enhancing substances later in life.
Additionally, comments point out changes to the actor’s body that could be signs that he used steroids. Many mention the Zac Efron face shape changes (“The Baywatch Face”)
Examples include his more masculine, chiseled-looking jawline which can be seen as evidence of increased testosterone levels. Others point to the more aged appearance of his face, increased body hair (apparently he had an HGH brow), and the change in the actor’s voice depth.
Other circumstantial evidence includes Efron’s association with The Rock, pro wrestler and Baywatch co-star known for his impressive appearance.
The Rock has admitted to past steroid use. While there is no direct evidence the wrestler is currently on steroids (the rumor he was arrested for importing HGH is a proven hoax), proponents of this theory still say the association is suspicious given other supporting evidence.
Supporters of the theory give some suggestions as to which performance enhancers he may have taken. It’s important to note these are purely hypothetical speculations.
The actor has never admitted to, tested for, or been caught taking any steroids. It’s probably more fair to assume Zac Efron took supplements to get bigger.
Many observers on Reddit commented that Zac Efron’s specific build could be credited to the anabolic-androgenic steroid Trenbolone.
Trenbolone is a very popular injectable steroid in bodybuilding communities, though it’s no longer approved for prescription human use.
It was developed for use in animals to stimulate appetite and muscle growth. It’s considered a controlled substance in many countries including the US.
Recent controversies involving the drug include its usage by Russia during the Sochi Olympics as part of a steroid “cocktail”.
Trenbolone Hexahydrobenzylcarbonate (Trenbolone Hex) is the more highly-desired parabolan version of this drug.
It has a longer half life and is said to be stronger than other preparations. It is usually injected weekly. Side effects include hair loss, coughing, and sexual performance issues.
Some suggest that this synthetic anabolic steroid could account for much of Efron’s bodily changes.
As a derivative of DHT, Stanozolol is used by bodybuilders for its perceived fat burning qualities while preserving lean body mass, the type of build observed in Zac Efron.
Stanozolol is available as an injectable or in tablet form.
While it’s approved by the FDA for human use, it’s a banned substance under IAAF professional sport guidelines. The metabolites of the drug are routinely tested for and can remain in a subjects’ urine for up to 10 days.
Side effects include feeling “dry” or having aching joints, thus it’s not recommended for those looking to “bulk up”.
Liver problems are also common with this and other steroids.
